Georgia uses the parents' combined monthly ADJUSTED GROSS income (gross income less self-employment tax, pre-existing support orders and any theoretical support for other qualified children). The Basic Child Support Obligation Table in O.C.G.A. § 19-6-15(o), rewritten by SB 454 and published by the Georgia Child Support Commission effective July 1, 2024, runs from $800 to $40,000 in $50 steps; § 19-6-15(b)(4) says to use the income bracket most closely matched to the combined income, so this tool picks the nearest row. Above $40,000 the statute sets the obligation at the top-row amount and allows only an upward deviation, so no percentage is added. Work-related child care and the children's health insurance premium are added and split by income share; since January 1, 2026 the low-income adjustment table (§ 19-6-15(p)) and the mandatory parenting-time adjustment also apply and are not modeled here.
