Does St. Petersburg have its own rule?

No. Fla. Stat. § 61.30 applies across Florida, so a case from St. Petersburg is decided by the same numbers as one filed anywhere else in the state. What changes locally is the courthouse, the clerk's procedure and how long the docket takes — not the amount.

What the statute says

Fla. Stat. § 61.30 — Florida child support guidelines (income shares schedule). Florida uses combined monthly NET income (after taxes, health insurance, mandatory dues and other § 61.30(3) deductions). The schedule runs from $800 to $10,000 of combined net income in $50 steps; above $10,000 the statute adds a percentage of the excess (5% for one child up to 12.5% for six). Child-care costs and the child's health insurance are added on top and split by income share, and overnights above 20% of the year trigger the gross-up adjustment in § 61.30(11)(b).
