Child support in Warren: how it is calculated
Child support in Warren is set by Michigan's statewide guidelines — Macomb County courts apply the same table as every other county. Here is the calculation, with the statute it comes from.
Where a Warren case goes
A Warren case is filed in the Michigan court for Macomb County, which applies the state guideline below. Local practice affects timing and paperwork, not the guideline amount. Warren has about 137,686 residents (Census Bureau, 2024 estimate).

Does Warren have its own rule?
No. 2025 Michigan Child Support Formula Manual § 3.02(B) (General Care Equation) and 2025 MCSF Supplement § 2.03 (General Care Support Tables); MCL 552.519(3)(a)(vi) applies across Michigan, so a case from Warren is decided by the same numbers as one filed anywhere else in the state. What changes locally is the courthouse, the clerk's procedure and how long the docket takes — not the amount.
What the statute says
2025 Michigan Child Support Formula Manual § 3.02(B) (General Care Equation) and 2025 MCSF Supplement § 2.03 (General Care Support Tables); MCL 552.519(3)(a)(vi) — Michigan General Care Support Tables (income shares formula on combined monthly net income). Michigan does not publish a row-by-row schedule; the 2025 Michigan Child Support Formula Manual § 3.02(B) computes base support from the parents' combined monthly NET income (after taxes and the manual's other deductions) with the General Care Equation, A + B × (income − D), using the six income levels, base-support amounts and marginal percentages in the 2025 MCSF Supplement § 2.03 (effective January 1, 2025) for one to five children. Because that equation is piecewise linear, the table here lists the official levels ($2,013.94 to $17,871.57) with their base-support amounts and interpolates between them, which reproduces the equation to within a few cents; the $0 row is an anchor implied by the table's 25%-56.5% base percentages, and the five-child column is repeated for six or more children. Above $17,871.57 the last marginal percentage (11.29% for one child up to 22.34% for five or more) keeps applying unless the court exercises discretion for extremely high incomes. A parent whose own net income is at or below the $1,255 Low Income Threshold instead owes 10% of income, and a transition equation smooths incomes just above it; neither is modeled here. Ordinary medical expenses, health-care premiums and child care are added on top, and the parental time offset (overnights cubed) adjusts the base obligation.
