Iowa pays 1/23 of your highest-quarter wages if you have no dependents; with 1, 2, 3 or 4+ dependents the divisor drops to 22, 21, 20 or 19, so the same wages pay more. For claims effective July 5, 2026 (FY2027) the maximum is $644 with no dependents, rising to $668, $692, $729 and $790 with 1–4 dependents, and the minimum runs $96–$116 — this calculator uses the no-dependent divisor and cap. Regular benefits last at most 16 weeks (the total is the lesser of 16 × WBA or one-third of your base-period wages), one of the shortest durations in the country since the 2022 law; 26 weeks apply only if your employer closed the business for good.
